You are welcome to donate with a credit card, debit card, or eCheck (checking or savings account ACH), or Venmo. The eCheck (Checking Account or Savings Account ACH) and PayPal methods are best because eCheck processing fees are very low and PayPal covers the processing fee for donations made via the PayPal Giving Fund. The Venmo method also has low processing fees. If you are in the South Florida area and prefer to donate goods, we welcome donations of certain specified food and socks on our list. Thank you.

Brighten the Corner is a small nonprofit organization recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity (Determination Letter # 26053455003162). You are invited to support this outreach with a tax-deductible contribution. Your entire donation goes toward food, water, socks, blankets, sleeping bags, clothing, shoes, hygiene kits, and similar needs, directly for the homeless people we help. We have no paid officers or employees, so your donation will not go to “administrative costs” like wages or salaries. Everyone who works with Brighten the Corner is a volunteer, and we also give of our own resources to keep this outreach going. You can help us do it more effectively, and reach more people, through your generous donation. As Mother Teresa said, “At the end of life, we are going to be judged on the basis of our love for one another.” We enjoy giving to people who could never repay us. It is truly more blessed to give than to receive. Thank you.

Serving the unhoused community on a weekly basis, Brighten the Corner provides hot meals, nutritious snack packs, clothes, shoes, socks, blankets, sleeping bags, and padded roll-up mats to people experiencing homelessness. Perhaps more importantly, we take time to listen; we develop friendships; we learn their names and call them by name, and treat them with dignity and compassion. As we develop a relationship with our homeless friends, we seek to connect them with resources that can help with housing, healthcare, and employment. Ultimately, we give them hope. Want to make a difference? Please donate to Brighten the Corner. Help us touch the lives of homeless people through friendship. It feels good to do good. Your generous support makes it possible. Your donation can change a life!
